Marjorie Schick

Artist Marjorie Schick was an American artist known for her whimsical approach to jewelry and her lifelong commitment to Academia. Her approach to jewelry was unique, in that she considered it more than just adornment but as a piece of art that interacted with the wearer. Her wearable sculptures gained her a following and by the 2000's she was made a fellow of the American Craft Association and the state of Kansas' artist of the year. Created in 2003, one can see the artist's liberal use of bright contrasting colors and whimsical repeating geometric patterns. Send this notecard to the jewelry lover in your life!
